Bring the tranquil, raw presence of coastal landscapes into your home with this multi-piece sculptural ceramic serving set. Hand-sculpted from speckled stoneware clay, the platter features organic, undulating folds and deep ridges that capture the tactile movement of shifting earth. The surface is masterfully coated in a layered glaze mix that flows fluidly between dark mossy greens and sandy undertones, dynamically broken by a soft, milky sea-form white reminiscent of crashing ocean surf. A delicate, warm peach glaze beautifully traces the undulating rim. To help create this look, the entire set underwent a rare second glaze firing in the kiln. Because of this intensive double-firing process, the final crystalline reactions are completely one-of-a-kind and cannot be replicated, making this a truly individual studio masterpiece. Meanwhile, the smooth, unglazed underside highlights the raw, iron-speckled texture of the natural stoneware.
