The People and Their Land is an evocative, multi-piece mixed media installation that makes a profound statement about Palestine, its people, and their unyielding bond to their homeland. Built as a triptych of  architectural windows, the composition honors the rich traditions, beautiful culture, and daily life of Palestinians caught in the midst of ongoing conflict.

The imagery chronicles ordinary people moving forward through a deeply symbolic terrain. Interlocking black-and-white grid patterns pay homage to traditional cultural motifs, while a fluid, sweeping blue river winds gracefully through the land toward the open sea– capturing a powerful visual narrative of geography, hope, and cultural continuity.  By focusing on these intimate elements, the piece highlights humanity, dignity, and living traditions above the absurdity and surrealism of a fracturing political world.

The sculptural masterwork bridges fine art with raw craftsmanship. The artist hand-worked common board to beautifully replicate the grain of sacred olive wood, woven alongside intricate thread work, hand-painted brick patterns, and physical artificial olive tree branches. It stands as a vital visual archive of people who remain inextricably intertwined with the soil, history, and life of their land.

This monumental installation was selected and proudly featured for month-long exhibition at the Caroline Kennedy Library (located right here in Dearborn Heights, Michigan) [August 2025], standing as vital visual archive of cultural endurance and artistic advocacy.
